Exterior Stamped Concrete

This is our Ashlar Slate pattern. Both pours used buff integral color, a blend of Desert Tan and Terra Cotta RA on the coping and ribbons and a blend of Sandstone and Cream Beige RAs for the field. We textured the face of the coping just after stamping.

This is our grouted joint 12" Slate pattern. We used Light Gray RA (release agent) over plain concrete. The real brick border was laid after the stamped work was completed.

This job was a lot of fun. We poured the pond with black concrete, hand stacking the walls and slick troweling the walls and bottom. We used buff integral color in a monolithic pour for the coping and deck with a Light Gray RA. We deep jointed control joints with margin trowels to define the coping stones and the larger pieces of deck. I came back the next day with a light green wash over the coping stones and grouted the joints with a light colored mortar. The stamp is our Shasta Seamless Texture system. We have literally stamped thousands of feet at one time with this system and you can't tell where one stamp leaves off and another begins.

This is our Random Stone pattern from the Creative Images line, a series of larger stamps that was designed for greater production while still giving great detail. We are texturing 9 square feet with each stamp, so you can imagine the time savings with the larger tools. We used Sandstone CH and Buff Tan RA for this effect.

This is a monolithic pour of plain concrete. The field is our European Fan pattern with Light Gray RA and the borders and ribbons were stamped with our 12" Slate Border tool and Dark Gray RA.

This photo shows part of a sidewalk 5' wide and 540' long. We did this in one pour with a 7 man crew and the Shasta Texture Skins. I dropped back from the pouring crew before we had it all laid down and took one stamper with me. I troweled ahead of him and threw the release agent. I also placed the sorghum stalks (shown), sycamore leaves, magnolia branches with leaves and a large ammonite (not shown). My stamper worked with 2 of the big mats (there are 3 large skins, 2 smaller skins, and 2 touch up mats) and, of course, he was wearing the Stone Texture Shoes. The owner was delighted with the results and so was I. Stamped Concrete

This is a monolithic pour, buff integral color throughout. We cut thin Plexiglas to fit the 12" slate border tools and the 24" X 24" slate inlays and carefully placed them before throwing light buff release agent for the London Cobblestone field. After we stamped the field we picked up the Plexiglas, troweled, and threw the appropriate colored release agents. Getting another color RA on what has already been stamped is OK. We placed the 12" slate border tools and the 24" x 24" slate tools in the exact same positions that the Plexiglas had protected earlier and stamped them.
